I'm in computers right now playing with Illustrator a bit more. After using it last night to complete my homework assignment, I'm fairly certain I fell in love with it haha "Microsoft Paint on crack"

Anyway these are three text images I came up with that I enjoy so I figured I'd share with... No one ha

"3's A Crowd", "Samurai Jack" and "Power Lines"

So this day is not looking great. Call me a pessimist but... I haven't slept since 8AM yesturday so I'm on my... what... 30th hour right now. I'm in Foundation Computers blogging and I still have 2D left on today's roster.

Speaking of the classes, my all-nighter allowed me to pull of 7 drawings for my folio, one of which I am not at ALL satisfied with but... I still couldn't even do the 5 sketches and collect the 5 items for Computers. Sam says I'm on his shit list already haha That kinda sucks but we're both seemingly relaxed dudes so that should work itself out.

This coming weekend I really need to catch myself up on my work and wipe my slate clean. After that's out of the way, I'm gonna have to designate those 15 "out-of-studio" hours that are supposed to reciprocate (big word oooOOOoOOo) our studio time. Hopefully with that done I'll get my work done more efficiently.

Note to self: Learn to draw faster/more efficiently
Note to yall: I was in the studio just about every night this week so this all-nighter wasn't completely merited in theory. Theory isn't practice though so OH WELL

I also love the fact that I'm blogging in class. Responsibly of course but still. SCHWEET!

Peace^, A-town down

Dick Blick Adventure

Some day last week I headed with Steve and Pat to get some necessities from the magical wonderland of art that is Dick Blick.

We took the subway which was a first for me. I ripped a dollar trying to rush to get tokens and make the train so I had to steal some of Steve's tokens to get a ride. Orange line to City Hall was the trip. At the station I saw a dude peeing on the wall AKA giving me a Downtown Welcome for my first time exploring Philadelphia.

We headed to Blick as I snapped touristy photos of sculptures and architecture. I was pretty paranoid about snapping photos with my phone and not paying attention to everything around me. Got to Blick and realized it was WAY bigger than mine back home ha We got our stuff over the course of over an hour (Pat need to buy kits individual style), I got 2 necessities and some recreational art supplies that I recently realized I'm probably not going to be using anytime soon. I <3 Foundation for reasons other than the workload.

Rest of the trip in a nutshell: Got back on the Orange Line, turned out to be the express, ended up getting off at Erie (which was ironic due to it being a bad neighborhood), got on the right train, and got back to Temple.

Philly's downtown area was much nicer than I had assumed. I gotta get off campus more often ha
